When I bought my machine I bought it from JNCS, they ran the board and the memory with prime95 and mem test overnight. They have had inconsistent results stability results even within a brand of memory regardless of motherboard type. With the new P8ZV LX board which is just short of half the price it is clear they have put a lot of work in to solve the various issues but time will now tell if they have succeeded.

This new board does just about everything you could want, the only thing I miss from the V pro is the onboard connector for usb3 bracket. I just wanted to say this is exactly what happened to me last night. I just wanted to boot off a USB stick.

I still find it incredibly hard to believe simply changing the boot order of devices has bricked the entire board: Time for a facepalm now. Move your devices back to their previous USB ports.

If the controller didn't install, we need to look for a device with a yellow alert placard symbol next to it. It can go by all sorts of names generic micro controller, unknown USB hub, etc but it'll have that yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it.
